Troubleshoot the performance of your Pik TV Media box


TELUS is continuously improving the quality of the Pik TV experience. In the event that the Pik TV app or Pik TV Media Box is experiencing slower than usual system performance, below are a few methods to help:

Reboot the Pik TV Media Box

  1. Select the Google Home button on your remote to open the Android TV home screen
  2. Go to Settings
  1. Go to Device preferences
  1. Go to Reboot, then click on Reboot to confirm

Restart the Pik TV App

  1. Select the Google Home button on your remote to open the Android TV home screen
  2. Go to Settings
  1. Go to Apps
  1. Go to Pik TV
  1. Select Force Stop, then select OK to confirm the restart
  1. Select Open to relaunch the Pik TV app

Resetting the Pik TV App using Clear Data (login required)


Select the Google Home button on your remote to open the Android TV home screen

  1. Select Settings
  1. Navigate to Apps
  1. Select Pik TV
  1. Got to Clear data and select OK
  1. Launch Pik TV and enter your login credentials

Sluggish performance after trying these steps

If you are still experiencing sluggish performance after completing all of these steps, try connecting your Media Box using an ethernet cable connection.

Troubleshoot the Pik TV Voice feature on the Media box


Solve issues you may experience when using the Pik TV voice feature and your remote.

Ensure your remote is using the latest firmware

  1. Select the Google Home button on your remote to open the Android TV home screen
  2. Scroll up and to the right until you reach Settings. Press OK
  3. Under Remote & accessories, select Remote control firmware upgrade
  4. Select Check for update
  5. Install the update if one is available

Ensure your microphone is turned on

  1. Select the Google Home button on your remote to open the Android TV home screen
  2. Scroll up and to the right until you reach Settings. Press OK
  3. Under Apps , select App permissions
  4. SScroll to Microphone. Press OK
  5. Scroll to Pik TV, and press OK to change your permissions (blue = on/grey = off)
