Alycia Webster, BSc, DVM
Dr. Alycia Webster is a professional services veterinarian specializing in cow/calf and feedlot medicine. With a strong educational background and extensive hands-on experience, Dr. Webster is dedicated to advancing animal health and welfare in southern Alberta.
Dr. Webster earned her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology from the University of Regina in 2010. She then pursued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of Calgary, graduating in 2019. During her academic journey, Dr. Webster gained valuable experience working as a Consultant Assistant in Okotoks from 2010 to 2011 and as a Nutritional Assistant with TELUS Agriculture, formerly Feedlot Health Management Services, from 2014 to 2015. These roles solidified her long-term goal of returning to feedlot medicine and joining an industry-leading team.
After obtaining her veterinary degree, Dr. Webster worked at a mixed animal practice in Fort Macleod for five years, focusing on cow/calf and feedlot medicine. Her commitment to animal health and her practical approach to veterinary care have been instrumental in her career development.
In July 2024, Dr. Webster joined TELUS Agriculture as a professional services veterinarian, operating out of the Lethbridge office. In this role, she provides a wide range of on-site services to clients in southern Alberta. Growing up in Champion, Alberta, Dr. Webster is thrilled to be working close to her hometown and contributing to the local community.
Throughout her career, Dr. Webster has been actively involved in cattle research. As a student, she assisted in parasitology research at the Lethbridge Research Station, animal welfare projects at the Calgary Stampede, and calving dystocia research at the University of Calgary. These experiences have enriched her understanding of animal health and welfare, further enhancing her expertise in the field.
Dr. Webster's dedication to improving livestock health and her passion for veterinary medicine make her a valuable asset to TELUS Agriculture and the broader veterinary community.
