Adam Shreck, BSc, MSc, PhD
Dr. Shreck is a highly accomplished production consultant specializing in animal production, ruminant nutrition, beef sustainability, statistics, applied research, economic modeling, and beef cattle energetics. He earned his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Animal Science from Illinois State University in 2007, followed by a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Animal Science from the University of Illinois in 2009. Dr. Shreck further advanced his expertise by obtaining a Ph.D. in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska in 2013. Following completion of his Ph.D., Dr. Shreck was a postdoctoral researcher with ARS-USDA in Bushland, TX focusing on cattle methane and energetics.
In 2015, Dr. Shreck joined TELUS Agriculture, formerly Feedlot Health Management Services, as a Feedlot Nutritional and Production Consultant. His role involves leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience to optimize feedlot operations and improve production outcomes. Dr. Shreck's work is characterized by a strong emphasis on applied research and the use of statistical and economic modeling to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of beef cattle production. Dr. Shreck also leads various sustainability efforts in Alberta for clients enrolled in offset projects under the TIER system as well as other carbon offset and inset ventures in North America.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shreck has made significant contributions to the field of animal science, particularly in the areas of ruminant nutrition and beef sustainability. His expertise in beef cattle energetics and economic modeling has been instrumental in advancing industry practices and improving the overall health and productivity of livestock. Dr. Shreck continues to be a valuable asset to TELUS Agriculture and the broader animal science community.
