As part of our Agribusiness team, you’ll help our customers leverage technology and data insights to connect upstream and downstream and optimize profitability, efficiency and insights. The Sales & Account Executive will work remotely, reporting to Australia Sales and will be responsible for the company's sales and business development success in the Eastern Australia for selected customers and prospects. This will be accomplished through effective sales, business development, channel management, solid market execution skills, and the ability to develop strong relationships. The desired candidate will have proven knowledge and experience in Agribusiness, Sales, Market Development, and Software as a Service.
This role is remote, with the expectation to manage/travel in the Eastern states of Australia.
Here's how
- Present, promote, and sell primarily Agronomy services to prospective and existing customers
- Segment and sub-segment the market in the assigned territory and create a structured approach to prospecting and selling
- Develop and maintain positive, trusted and partnering relationships with prospects, at both head office level and bottom up with influential end users
- Provide feedback regarding customer usage and needs to Product Management, Marketing and other teams
- Keep all customer and activity information live and up-to-date in Salesforce, and meet other Salesforce pipeline and data requirements
- Provide feedback to the marketing, product and sales enablement teams on content required by prospects in the sales process
What you bring to the role
- Perform the proper discovery to a winning sale strategy for each target. Understand prospect’s position with competitors, uncover a prospect's needs and pain points, develop and position compelling “Why Us?” and determine buying criteria and timeline
- Ability to own and control a sale from the cradle to the grave, manage objection, ask the right questions and propose product solutions
- Demonstrate knowledge of software platforms frequently used in the agribusiness sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
- Ability to establish good relationships with customers and collaborate at all levels internally and externally
- Excellent at managing time, priorities, and expenses
- Able to work independently while being a team player in a remote setting using virtual communication tools
- 3+ years of experience in sales and/or business development
- Demonstrated track record of sales and business development achievement in a hands-on environment
- Must be equally comfortable selling to in-field locations as well as to C-level executives
- Proven knowledge and network of agribusiness companies
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to be or become proficient in Google Suite applications and Salesforce
- Travel required to meet with customers as needed. In addition, the position may require occasional travel to industry events and trade shows
