Internet for Good

Internet for Good® provides thousands of low-income families in British Columbia, Alberta and some areas of Quebec with the tools and connectivity they need to succeed. Recipients must have children under the age of majority and be currently receiving the maximum Canada Child Benefit.

You can apply if you:

  • Receive the maximum Child Care Benefit

  • Can provide a recent Canada Child Benefit (CCB) statement showing your family net income of less than or equal to $34,863

Note: The Internet for Good account must be under the name of the individual named on page 1 of the CCB statement.

TELUS is participating in the Connecting Families Government of Canada program. If you received a letter with a unique access code, please visit connecting-families.ca to sign up.

If applying by mail, please include your full name, return address, and contact phone number. If you provide an email address, we can expedite our response to your application.

Please note:


  • Documentation will be used for eligibility validation and then deleted or shredded. TELUS will be recording your name, mailing address, email (if applicable) and last four digits of a unique identifier. 

  • Individuals are encouraged to enlist the help of a friend, family member or case worker to apply on their behalf if necessary.

  • The Internet for Good program is provided as a TELUS Wireline service only and is not available on our wireless network or for customers accessing TELUS High Speed Internet with a SmartHub.

  • Do not send the original copy of your document as it will not be returned to you.

What to expect after you apply

  • We will review and respond to all applications within 1 week (response may be slower for mail in applications)

  • If approved, you will be sent a code along with information on purchasing a discounted phone from Mobile Klinik (if required) and instructions on how to sign up for the plan. If you cannot find the confirmation email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk mail folder.

  • We recommend that you secure a device prior to signing up for the wireless plan.
