Executive Vice-president of Technology Strategy and Business Transformation

Eros Spadotto is Executive Vice-president (EVP) of Technology Strategy and Business Transformation at TELUS. He has the overall responsibility for TELUS’ integrated networks, information technologies and services strategy, with the objective to deliver transformational experiences and superior reliability for our customers. Eros has end-to-end accountability for our wireless and fixed broadband technologies, network spectrum strategy, application and service development, architecture, network and systems assurance, and supply chain management, while also leading our crucial privacy, identity and security roadmaps and governance. Eros brings his passion for innovation and deep knowledge of the industry to this role to forecast local and global technology trends and drive industry-leading digital solutions for Canadians.

Eros has been in senior leadership positions in the Canadian wireless industry for 22 years. During this time, he has provided vision, direction and thought leadership to a number of teams at the forefront of innovation.

Prior to his current role, Eros was EVP and Chief Technology Officer at TELUS Mobility and EVP and Chief Technology Officer at Clearnet Communications (acquired by TELUS in October 2000). In his position with TELUS Mobility, Eros was responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing development of the PCS and Mike wireless infrastructure across Canada. At Clearnet, Eros was responsible for the initial launches of both the company’s Mike iDEN network and its national PCS CDMA network. Following these successful rollouts, Eros added responsibility for Clearnet’s Information Technology operations to his mandate. Before joining Clearnet in 1995, Eros held senior management positions in engineering and marketing at Bell Mobility.

Eros holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. In 2014, Eros received the IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Industry Leader award in recognition for his contributions and leadership in the communications industry.
