Terms of Service

These Service Terms and the TELUS Local Telephone Service Terms apply to your use of forborne Datadial Service.  Datadial Service is provided by TELUS Communications Company.

1.  Service Description

Datadial Service provides you with non-featured digital transmission between a DMS 100 switch or a GTD-5 switch in a TELUS central office and compatible equipment located in your premises.

2.  Service Features

Datadial Service provides you with a jack-ended digital local loop between a TELUS central office and your premises.

Depending on the TELUS switch and the equipment you use with Datadial Service, the digital local loop that forms part of Datadial Service carries up to a 56 kilobit per second channel.

3.  Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of terminal equipment you use with Datadial Service.

Any facilities and equipment you connect to TELUS’ network must adhere to applicable Industry Canada standards and applicable information at http://about.telus.com/publicpolicy/guides.html.

4.  Service Condition

Datadial Service rates are based on the average traffic per line not exceeding approximately 280 hours per month.  If your use of Datadial Service exceeds approximately 280 hours in a month, you may be responsible to pay an additional usage charge.

5.  Service Restriction

You may request that TELUS terminate Datadial Service.  You may not request any moves, adds or changes to Datadial Service.
