How to use Internet Call Director

Once you order Internet Call Director, you will receive a welcome e-mail containing a link to download the software. You will need to install this software on your computer.

How Internet Call Director works:

When a call comes in, Internet Call Director is launched and a "pop-up" display appears on your screen. Just like a Call Display screen on your phone, you'll be presented with the name and number of your caller. If your computer has a sound card, you will also hear a "ring".

The display will show you the options you have to manage the call. You'll have 18 seconds to choose how to handle your caller.

To manage your calls:

  1. Answer the call and your phone rings.
  2. Forward the call to another number (one of four numbers you choose yourself).
  3. Voice Mail: Send the caller to TELUS Voice Mail (subscription required).
  4. Play Message: Choose from two pre-recorded messages or record your own custom greetings.
