HomeSitter® - installation

TELUS HomeSitter is easy to install and easy to use. Just follow these four steps:

Step 1: Check system requirements

To use TELUS HomeSitter, you will need:

• A high speed Internet connection. If you do not have high speed Internet access, find out about TELUS High Speed now.
• Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
• Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher
• Windows 98/2000/ME/XP (service not available for Mac OS or Linux)

Step 2: Set up your wireless router and wireless camera

Your wireless camera, used in conjunction with a wireless router, captures images of your home that you can view online using your TELUS HomeSitter account. Wireless routers and wireless cameras are not included in your TELUS HomeSitter monthly subscription and must be purchased separately to access the service.

Wireless cameras include an account activation code that provides access to your TELUS HomeSitter account. Additional wireless cameras can be purchased to provide greater viewing access to your home.

Please ensure your wireless router has been installed and that you have your wireless camera before proceeding to step 3.

Step 3: Sign up for TELUS HomeSitter

There are several ways you can order TELUS HomeSitter:

• Sign up online.
• Sign up at a TELUS Mobility dealer.
• Call 1-877-767-8565.

Step 4: Log in and activate your account

You are now ready to log in to your TELUS HomeSitter account at https://homesitter.telus.net/login.jsp.

Once you log in follow the instructions provided in the TELUS HomeSitter Getting Started Guide (PDF 1.9MB) included with your wireless camera to finish activating your account and automatically configure your camera(s). For more specific instructions, check out the setting up your devices section in your HomeSitter User Guide.

Please note: you will need the account activation code you received with your wireless camera to complete the activation of your account. You will be prompted for this prior to configuring your camera or any further customization of your account.
